Dermaplaning is all about skin rejuvenation. Treating fine lines, uneven skin tone, open pores, pigmentation, dry skin and that unwanted facial hair (Vellus).
Using a surgical scalpel, dead skin and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) are gently scraped away from the skin’s surface. A form of deep exfoliation, Dermaplaning improves cell turnover brightening and smoothing skin and promoting healing, also allowing better penetration of skin care products, leaving the skin more radiant and healthier looking.
Dermaplaning Treatment
Before the Dermaplaning procedure begins, your therapist will cleanse and prep your skin. Next, using a surgical scalpel, a deep exfoliation will be performed on the skin, removing the build-up of dead skin cells and fine peach fuzz. During this stage you will feel a light scraping on the skin, but the procedure itself is completely pain free and relaxing. After the Dermaplaning has been carried out a calming, hydrating mask will be applied to the skin to soothe and repair. Your facial will be completed with an application of a hyaluronic serum to super hydrate and SPF moisturiser to protect.

Dermaplaning is suitable for most skin types, even those with sensitive skin as there are no harsh chemicals used.
Dermaplaning is also a great option for clients who are prone to breakouts as Dermaplaning removes the excess fine hairs which are known for trapping dirt, oils and dead skin cells in our pores which are the main causes of blemishes.
As with all treatments there are some contraindications, so if you suffer with severe rosacea or active Acne we’re afraid this treatment is not for you as it may cause you irritation.
